Group 4 Group members: Dina Diaz Vilma Cabrera Edilberto Portillo Teaching Unit: Lesson-Plan Writing UPN LIE 313: Materials Development Allyson Kellum April 18, 2007 Made by: Vilma Cabrera Goal: SWABT to develop skills in writing and completion of sentences, and vocabulary that had connection with the topic of the community. Objectives: Students will be able to: · Name and write vocabulary of the community. · Write and complete key words that give meaning to the sentences · Identify information questions and affirmative sentences · Proofread and correct mistakes in sentences by themselves Warm- Up 5 minutes the teacher greets all the students, and sings a song of the community Introduction, 5 minutes, Activity Word Web: The teacher will place the words in order then the kids will write the missing words in blank spaces. Materials: word cards 5 minutes Activities: The teacher will show pictures of fire stations, restaurant and hospital, then she will ask information questions from the pictures, so the students will have to answers and complete the sentences with the missing words. Second activity: The teacher will show sentences that had misspelled and incorrect words, so the students will have to circle the misspelled words and write the correct one. Materials: Information chart and pictures. 5 minutes: Activity The teacher will show pictures, so the students will complete the sentences according to the best meaning of the picture. The completion of words will give emphasis in the understanding of there is, there are and recognition of subjects and numbers. Level: 2 Grade, Made by Edilbero Portillo Subject: The community and their implication. Methodology: interaction, Student’s participation. Goal: SWBAT recognize each part of the community. SWBAT describe every activity development in the community. SWBAT understand the community’s people in their activity and their culture. SWBAT make comparison with other community’s roles where they live. Objective: -SWBAT identity each occupation development for people of the community -SWBAT describe every details of the community with the appropriate knowledge getting in the class. Warm – Up 5 Minute. Teacher: said Hello, How are you today? SS: fine Teacher. Teacher: O. k. I am happy you feel right. and I have a song named “our Our community” Activities: 5 Minutes *1.-Big book reading you choose one student to open and read the first page of your big book. Teacher will need cards showing persons and places in a community, while the student reads the sentences another student, you will have to paste the person in the right place of the chart Students will have to know some prior knowledge about preposition, so at the same time you review occupations and places of a community you teach pronouns sand prepositions. Manifesting skills Divide students into two groups and the teacher do the following *One student come to the board and he chooses one flash card and he says the name and something about it, at the end he puts on the line next to the square of the some colour *One of the student of the next group comes to take the corn, then he take the piece of the paper to be over on it. after that, he looks for information inside of the corn, he reads the words and finally he puts in the correct way of the sentences. Game words: Teaching synonyms The teacher need the words referring to the community, after this teacher need a student, then where the student knows the community words, they have to recognize what words to right or don’t, and classify in order like synonyms. Materials 1.- Handouts 2.- Pictures. 3.- Material of hand-work 4.- Cartuline 5.- Board. 6.- Marker. Assessment: 5.- Minute -Drawing a big picture occupation manifested in the community. -draw and explain places that you knew before coming to the next class. -Draw a picture making representation of every professional that you know. |
